Join GPDD

Membership applications for the GPDD may be submitted at any time. Applications are reviewed by the GPDD Secretariat and by the GPDD Board of Directors during their quarterly meetings.  Applicants will be notified by e-mail- it can take as long as three months between application submission and completion of the process. There is no fee to become a GPDD member.

Members of the International Disability Alliance (IDA), government agencies and donor organizations are automatically accepted by GPDD Secretariat as members, if they so request.

All other prospective members must meet the following criteria:

• Be an organization working in two or more countries or working on regional or international issues. The GPDD does not accept applications from organizations that work solely on domestic issues within their respective countries.
• Be able to clearly state the organization’s interest and commitment to disability and inclusive development.
• Be a foundation or a private sector entity interested in funding disability issues or inclusive programming.
• Be a member of one of the following constituencies:
  • Multilateral Financial Institutions;
  • Government Agency;
  • Disabled People Organizations;
  • Mainstream Development NGO's;
  • Disability and Development NGO's;
  • Private foundations, Unions, Etc;
  • Academia or a Research Institution;
  • UN Agencies.
